Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico is in the south west corner of Gran Canaria and is a hive of activity in high season but much more laid back in low season.

Famous for being the sunniest resort in Gran Canaria it has white washed Puerto Rico Hotels and Puerto Rico apartments clinging to the cliffs overlooking two beautiful beaches.

There are three large commercial centres packed full of shops, a luxury marina full of yachts where all sorts of watersports are available and Puerto Rico is also one of the hottest nightspots on the island.

There are two public swimming pools in the resort and also set back from the beach are stunning tropical gardens which are home to some exotic flowers and plants.

The largest market in Gran Canaria is only a short taxi ride from Puerto Rico in Arguineguin every Tuesday.
